I am planning a trip to Japan stopping in Tokyo for a night or two and after reading several blogs I am terrified that I will starve to death while I'm there. I am so afraid that my whole trip is going to be consumed with trying to find appropriate food for me. Living in Australia, I have been very spoiled with a wide choice of gluten-free restaurants right on my doorstep.

In comparison, I have had a lot of trouble traveling, even in other countries where I speak the local language. Next February I will be venturing to Japan - my first try at traveling gluten free in a country where I don't speak the language.

This will help a lot, I hadn't heard of Yakiniku before, but it sounds like the best option when eating out. Hopefully I can get my own soy sauce in without too much trouble.Tessanoreply@blogger.com
