Typhoon Number 15

Well,...it is 3:30 am here and I can't sleep. The wind is unbelievable! We are ok where we are but honestly, what we are seeing on TV is heartbreaking. Mother nature really seems to be unhappy with Japan this year! Here are some pictures of this typhoon (which isn't over yet).

This is a train station in Nagoya ....completely flooded!

That is terrible. We received no news about any of this in the US and I have various news alerts about Japan. Boy that is going to take a lot of time to clean up. I can't believe the train station. I like the smiling woman with the umbrella. I guess at some point you have to shrug and say nature is screwing with you. Good to hear your windows didn't blow out.

Yikes. I remember this... I live outside Nagoya but was in Yokohama when the typhoon came...

And also, in Korea this summer, huge sudden stormbursts with clouds coming together created the same environment in the train stations and also massive landslides that knocked 4 stories out of apartment buildings (which, in korea, typically run about 12 stories...) but that still a 4 story building wiped out by a landslide!
